This video will show you how to be more productive in one minute, but before you dig in for a magic bullet solution — here are a few more thoughts on getting control of your work flow.
1. Find the right tools. If you live in your Gmail box, consider Remember the Milk and GTDInbox. If you live on the road, maybe a notebook or planner would be more efficient.
2. Don’t over-organize. Most productivity programs fail because they are too complex. At the end of the day, all you need is a easy to reference list of things to do and a way to mark those things off. Once you have that, let the rest of it go.
3. Keep it clean. Get rid of your To-Dos. Get them off the list. Productivity programs break when they start being filled with things you never plan on doing.
4. Make it actionable. Make sure that anything you add to your To-Do list is an action. Break long term goals down into real, concrete steps. People are terrible at completing goals but they are fantastic at moving from step to step.
