Did you know that Gmail has a host of keyboard shortcuts to make it easier for you to navigate the service? Here are a few of the most useful ones. You can find the full list in the hands of our good friends in Mountain View.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Compose (c) – Allows you to compose a new message.
Move to newer conversation (k) – Opens or moves your cursor to a more recent conversation. You can hit
Move to older conversation (j) – Opens or moves your cursor to the next oldest conversation. You can hit
Archive (e) – Archive your conversation from any view.
Mute (m) – Archives the conversation, and all future messages skip the Inbox unless sent or cc’d directly to you. Learn more.
Select conversation (x) – Automatically checks and selects a conversation so that you can archive, apply a label, or choose an action from the drop-down menu to apply to that conversation.
Report spam (!) – Marks a message as spam and removes it from your conversation list.
Reply (r) – Reply to the message sender.
Reply all (a) – Reply to all message recipients.
