High-carb, high-fiber Breakfast – High Fiber and High Carb breakfasts have been proven to help people stay awake and alert for longer throughout the day. No real magic here, eat cereals and grains instead of high fat alternatives.

Multi-Vitamin – Get a good multi-vitamin, especially one with a full complement of B vitamins. B vitamin’s factor heavily into your body’s metabolism, and help promote energy and focus.

Ginkgo – The research on this herbal energy boost is inconclusive at best. In the best cases, it has been shown to increase overall blood flow and improve concentration in healthy adults. While it’s certainly not as fool-proof as the other items on the list, when taken in moderation Ginkgo can have some effect on your energy levels.
