  • Encourages small but loyal followings.
  • Allows information to come from friends, neighbors, and even large (mainstream) producers.
  • Can become overwhelming as everyone creates everything.
  • Encourages social ratings to ease searching behavior.
  • Provides the tools to build and distribute information as you please.
