Brian Solis has written a great end of the year article for anyone working in public relations. Since news has officially died as the year closes, why not use the internet to learn something?
Here is one from me. Remember that customers are people. You are not selling to a nameless mob. Whenever you make a PR contact ask yourself how you would feel if someone sent you the same thing. If it reads like spam, chances are the person you send it to will read it the same way.
From the page: “In order to be successful in Public Relations, you need to grasp what it is, what it isn’t, and how it works and why. Otherwise, you’?ll never be able to build the right team, determine the best strategies to amplify visibility and gain traction, or have the ability to effectively measure it.”
If you enjoyed that why not find a job or read our guide to working in the 21st century. You can also join our Kiva team or hire me for your project.
