I am going to file this under, “the Internet is a strange and beautiful world.” Virgil Griffith has recently finished a mashup that links the IP address’ of organizations to Wikipedia edits that they have made. Design wise, RottenNeighbors is your standard Google Maps mashup. Why it is getting any attention at all is because it hits so close to home. Regular people, who don’t know Social Networks from a hole in the wall are now having “facts” about them posted online without any editorial control. Needless to say, this has left many of them screaming libel.
Foodio54 is a Google Maps mashup that allows users to find restaurants in places of interest. You enter the type of food that you are looking for as well as the city, state or zip code that you would like to search in and Foodio54 shows you all the restaurants that fit your criteria.
