It’s early January and a lot of my fellow bloggers are feeling the pinch. If you have noticed that your statistics haven’t been looking as rosy as in months past, take heart, it will pass. The web is a momentum push and as the year winds down, momentum begins to die. Fewer people are reading blogs, fewer people are submitting stories, fewer people are passing content around the collective bonfire and as a result your numbers begin to sink along with it.
Is there anything to do?
Your best bet is just to continue to produce good content. Since the world is still recovering from the holiday this is probably not be the best time to make major Social Media pushes. Instead, set up a stockpile of timeless content. Just like the tides, sometime near the end of this month you should see a noticeable pickup in your statistics.
