With uStream, Qik, Seesmic, and the old workhorse YouTube making it simple for anyone to record their thoughts to film, video is becoming a popular medium for people who want to share their thoughts in a more personal medium. A lot of these people are looking for ways to monetize that content. With that in mind, here is a question:

Great poll...I'm not sure all who view will understand all of the different options of video, but the post leaves and good thought about the wave of video ads.

Nothing in life is free. Put the commercials in just like TV. Should be a certain percentage of the video.

I like the Revision 3 model of product placement/embedded sponsorship. It doesn't break the experience and even though I can fast forward, I don't 99% of the time. It's basically the way broadcast TV started out with advertisers.

I tend to agree about the product placement thing. At least with product placements I don't feel "interrupted." Same idea with podcasts, I'd much rather an embedded ad.

@John I like the basic idea but watching a video or two I felt like things were flying at me a little too much. I can't really describe it but especially with the box ads, something felt a little out of place. I really liked those circular ones though.

Thanks for the input Steve. We're actually completely redesigning things right now, going to be up in a couple weeks. All the 'ads' are user generated so they don't need to fly around like that.
