I don't think any of these three networks are the be all and end all. What they represent, however, is the paradigm that we should be looking at. I think the future of social networks looks a lot more like this than it does like Facebook / MySpace.

I predict this sort of thing will be hot for about 10 minutes or as long as it takes for some anarchist to penetrate the group and blab something embarrassing to the teeming masses.

This exclusiveness will depend on the members, since any one member could be a conduit into the group, not to mention someone gaining access through false pretenses.

From a business prospective, the niche is the way to go. Betting you are going to enter the space and be as big as Facebook or myspace is delusion. To think you could be a destination for Magma fans is maybe not so far off.
