I want to know clever people.

That’s the point of all this communication technology to me, it’s all driving towards enabling everyone ( and by extension me ) to know clever people, doing interesting things to change the world.

We are all social agents, change agents, creatures of society uniquely qualified to work together to alter our surroundings for the betterment of ourselves and those we place value in. Technology, especially Social Technology, let’s us do this on a massive scale. Why not use it?

We build communities around topics, why not build them around goals?

We focus too much of our power on circular communication and so little on rebuilding the world.

We waste our platforms, our creativity and our understanding on the trivial while millions of others scratch around in the dark trying to spread their ideas without 1/1000th of the knowledge that we squander.

Someone clever once said you need to be the change you want to see in the world. It’s about time we all started to establish what that change is and began working towards becoming it.

Where do I stand on all of this, somewhere just left of center. I have the unique position of being a part of the conversation that I just waxed poetic about and being a part of another, far more interesting conversation with the entrepreneurs, artists and other creative people who are trying to do something big with the tools they have at their disposal.

That’s why today’s message is really an open call.

I want to hear about what you’re passionate about. If you tell me what you’re doing and why (through comments or email) I will find some way big or small to help you get it out there. It might be a post, it might be an email, it might just be pointing you in the direction of one of the many clever people that I know. The point is, all you need to do is ask (in a reasonable manner) and we will work something out.

Every building starts with bricks.
