Twitter is growing quickly. All polls I've recently seen show that Twitter is gaining steam and will become the next BIG thing. Just wish I would have thought of it!

Possibly the mainstream, college & all other, are not really into blogging, which is why they have not adopted micro blogging.
Also the real 'Twitterer' follows everyone around as they follow you, which becomes work, which might be too much in combination with Facebook & Myspace, which they may get more out of.
The average person is into F/Book & Myspace, in a way they are not into blogging.
