Hi Steve,

I really like the title of your blog post, it reminds me of an article I wrote on my blog a couple years back with the same title ;)

http://www.followsteph.com/2006/09/08/ideas-are...

Except that in mine I compare generating the Idea versus implementing it. Meaning that lots of people have ideas, few actually implement it, and that's the key to success: Implementation.

You see, the thing is, when I have an idea, I don’t like telling people about it. I used to be the complete opposite – the minute I had an idea, I’d be on the phone with this friend or the other. I stopped doing that as I felt it diffused my enthusiasm to see the idea through. Plus, what’s to say that so-called ‘friend’ won’t nick my idea and ride with it?

I do agree with the multi-idea concept though - it happens to be something I really enjoy doing (brainstorming)!!

Anyone who could benefit from some light relief should read ' David Cowan Bessemer Venture Partners Anti Portfolio ' referred to todays Venture Hacks blog. Investing actively since 1911, they accepted a chip frier co. & a wig makers, just sad they passed on Google & Ebay. Well worth a read.
