I’d like to thank the folks over at Gizfolio for hijacking this mornings blog post, now I have to take part in some sort of silly meme for my friends over there. No matter. The way this works is you will now be treated to a list of 8 things about myself. I’ll try to make them as useful as possible.

The List

1. This was the video that went with the post that I was going to write tonight before I realized I had been ‘tagged’.

2. I think writing lists of 8 is way more Web 2.0 than writing lists of five or ten, I have to congratulate the guys over at Fuel My Blog for coming up with it.

3. I check my Gmail account obsessively, and I check the contact forms account about 4 times a day. If you need me immediately, use my gmail.

4. My Gmail address is sbspalding -[at]- gmail dot com.

5. I like Web 2.0, the future, science fiction, science fact, music, movies, philosophical debate and generalized crankiness when expressed in a witty way.

6. My favorite blogs and the blogs I read most often are in no way correlated.

7. Brett wanted to know how to write 8 things, so here it is: Start with a fact, end with a joke and sandwich useful content in between.

8. My favorite celebrity is Paris Hilton, I have all of her baseball cards.

Fresh Victims

Now, according to the “rules” I need to pick 8 more blogs to take part in this insanity. Like Brett, I plan to choose a number much smaller than that. In my case, it will be 4.

Kent Newsome. Why, because he might appreciate the community building that this forces.

Andrej (Webmeba). Webmeba is a great blog, and it would be interesting to hear a little more about it.

Heidi Nyburg (Layercake). Because I just said my favorite celebrity was Paris Hilton, Heidi would probably get a kick out of that. The price you pay for laughing at me, taking part in a blog meme.

Joseph Ferrara (Sellsius). One good turn deserves another, and I really think that as many people as possible should visit this blog. Fantastic editor, great content and a real boon to the blogosphere.

Web 2.0 Roundup

A reminder of the Tag Rules, for the blogs listed above…

One: Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves. Two: People who are tagged need to write their own blog entry about their eight things and post these rules. Three: at the end of your entry, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names/pseudonyms/blogs. Four: Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
