That, my readers, is a trackback from a splog that did me the “courtesy” of linking to my site.
Splogging is a growing trend infecting the burgeoning blogosphere. It combines SEO, link farming and web robots to create inscrutible, monetized, spam filled “blogs” that serve no purpose other than lining the pockets of those whose job it is to poison the internet with hundred of thousands of these a day.
Wired writer, Charles Mann, wrote an excellent article about Splogging that anyone who has ever wondered why their trackbacks occasionally read like a grade school student’s interpretation of William Blake should read.
