If you happen to be out in California in September, Conference season is in full swing. DEMO Conference, in San Diego will be held September 24 and 25th. Out in San Francisco, the TechCrunch 20 is being held at the Palace Hotel on the 17th and 18th. Registration is still open for these events.

Demo Conference

DEMO is the premier launch venue for new products, technologies and companies. For more than 16 years, DEMO has established a reputation for identifying and presenting to an elite audience the products most likely to have a significant impact on the marketplace and market trends in the coming year. Each product is carefully screened and selected by DEMO’s Executive Producer, Chris Shipley, one of the top trend spotters in the personal technology product industry. DEMO is held two times a year; one in February, and one in September.

The translation is, go to DEMO if you want to see some great new products shown off for your entertainment.

TechCrunch 20

The format is simple: Twenty of the hottest new startups from around the world will announce and demo their products over a two day period at TechCrunch20. And they don’t pay a cent to do this. They will be selected to participate based on merit alone. In fact, we’re even offering a $50,000 cash award and lining up other in-kind services and awards from a generous group of corporate sponsors.

Several companies that I know have made it into the top 100 and will be demoing their projects here. It’s a great event and there is a chance that yours truly will be there.
