Google

Since I have been speculating on Web 3.0, what I’ve found is that Google has continuously been surprising me with their ability to align their corporate vision with how I predict Web 3.0 must develop. In this case, Vice President Adam Bosworth speculates on a future where consumers can Discovery, Act upon and Share medical information in a technology enabled society.

The notes from his presentation are here.

Expert Systems, systems that are the online equivalent of offline agents (think virtual “doctors” like those found Web MD) would be one of the driving forces behind any move towards truly semantic web.

With their access to a near infinite pool of user preference data, and the ability to aggregate it in ways that they have barely scratched the surface of. It seems only appropriate that Google would be best suited to spearhead the development, deployment and generalization of these systems for mass consumption.

One day soon, if you have a problem your answer may not be any further than a Google search away.
