In the cold, sterile world of blog marketing, linking is currency. It always has been. The internets are large, very large and if you want any chance to be seen you have to link, link, link.

Today, I play the link back game with everyone’s favorite internet mogul John Chow. John’s blog is a mix of SEO, Internet technology, reviews, ramblings and his now infamous batches of peer reviews (which I am hoping to become a part of). A while ago, he had a simple but powerful idea — offer a link on his site to anyone who wrote a review about his.

This simple idea has generated over 300 reviews to date. John seems to have perfected the art of meta-blogging — that is, blogging to the bloggers. Lets face it, if anyone adores blogs it’s bloggers themselves; we are a strange race that loves two things above all else, interesting information and shameless self promotion. John has managed to tap into both of these drives.

Thus, I tip my hat to John Chow dot Com and open up How To Split An Atom to the same deal. Write a review about the site, try to make it at least 200 words and include a link to the main page. After you do that, send me an email at (sbspalding @ gmail dot com). I’ll take a look and link back to you in return. Include a picture and I’ll add that as well.

Free publicity is free publicity, good luck dear readers.
