It’s great to be a Florida Gator.
One of the benefits of living in Gainesville is that you have a great community of really passionate people surrounding you. One of the proofs of this is that I have just been invited to be a part of the “Chomproll”. Dan Rua of Inflexion Ventures and the fantastic VC blog, Florida Venture Blog, has set up a search engine where you can find information specifically about the Gators, Gainesville, Entrepreneurship and Business in the area.
If you ever wanted to know more about Gainesville, I suggest heading over to FVB and taking a look.

Here are a few sites that have made the “Chomproll”, I’ve picked the ones that have the most to do with the venture community and technology — enjoy.
A La Cloud. They’re forming a mesh network to cover all of Gainesville.
Florida Venture Blog. A running perspective on Florida’s growing tech and venture community, with an occasional detour to the Southeast/national scene, venture capital FAQs and maybe a gadget or two….
Gainesville Underground. A community designed to spread information about all the web-based innovations coming out of Gainesville, Florida. More than that though, we want to be the first of many such communities — highlighting some of the underrepresented tech hotbeds across the country.
Grooveshark Blog. Music industry news with style. It’s the blog for the upcoming Grooveshark music distribution network.
PodBop Blog. The Podbop Blog provides you with the latest music news, reviews, photos and festival coverage.
Florida Free Culture. Florida Free Culture is a student group at the University of Florida. There mission is to advance cultural participation, especially in areas of new technology, and to promote intellectual property policy in the public interest.
