I am out of town this weekend, but I wanted to leave you a little gift. To keep with the weekend theme of speculation into the web’s future, here is a brief look into how others have thought the web would evolve, told through the magic of multimedia.
AT&T and their “You Will” series of ads got a few things right, including GPS and teleconferencing. That’s the thing about speculating about the future, usually for every few misses you get one really substantial hit.
This reminds me of a promotional video I once saw while in line for the Terminator 3D ride at Universal Studios. The future is now.
Finally, here is a more modern look at the future of the web. Kevin Rose in this video kind of reminds me of the guy on the huge monitor in 1984.
