I decided to take a day off from “serious” reporting, and instead use the few minutes left of this Sunday to tell you about an amusing little Flash diversion called CreateBand. The copy comes from a guest post I wrote recently.
Who has time to put together a band these days? All that practicing and performing, not to mention booking gigs and writing songs — it’s enough to make a guy question why he picked up the guitar in the first place. Well, if you want to get all the joy of putting together a band without the hassle of playing in it, CreateBands is just the fix you’re looking for.

This Flash applications lets you pick from a stable of “talented” musicians and arrange them into the perfect ensemble. Whether Jazz is your thing, or you’re looking for perfect percussion, CreateBands fills that void. Once you have assembled your band, add a background and some effects and rock out from the comfort of your basement.
This is a seriously entertaining way to kill a bit of valuable time on a lazy Sunday. If you want to try it out, follow the bouncing link.
