Halley Suit talks about female bloggers, the ‘A list’ and how to get noticed in this interview from BlogHer conference 2005.

BlogHer is an organization that was created to expand the role of women in blogging. They are a community designed to educate and support female bloggers.

It’s nice to see bloggers coming together to form communities. Anyone who blogs, male or female, should give BlogHer a look. Here is a look at their long-term goals, taken from their website.

  • A do-ocracy where BlogHer doesn’t serve women bloggers, but rather creates opportunities for all women bloggers to help ourselves and work together to voice and achieve our individual goals–professional, technical, social and/or personal
  • A robust BlogHer Network equipped with the tools we need to deliver on the education, exposure and community of women bloggers, branching out beyond a single blog to create a true community resource and meeting place
  • A community that regularly meets in person, at regional, local and specialized meet-ups, as well as at our annual conference, to continue our conversations. We are committed to extending our conversations and network even to those who cannot attend these meetings in person.
