So, what have we been searching for this year? Google has put together it’s list of fastest growing search terms. The results are a little unsurprising.

3. tmz
4. transformers
5. youtube
6. club penguin
7. myspace
8. heroes
9. facebook
10. anna nicole smith

It seems like we like precisely what we always have — celebrities, gadgets and . . . Micheal Bay movies. A couple of things that I thought were interesting. Despite the fact that the techosphere has been up in arms about Facebook the entire year, MySpace still managed to outpace it by a pretty significant margin.

On top of that, Webkinz and Club Penguin which haven’t received more than a smattering of coverage, crushed both of the social networking giants in the hearts of world. There is nothing like virtual igloos to draw people to the SERP.

Finally, I am a little surprised that Paris Hilton didn’t make the Top Ten. I have no thoughts on that, just putting that out there.
