Sounds good. Apart from this the technology is purposefully used for helping of human being. In-car technology is a growing concern for road safety specialists. As the digital age evolves we are seeing the introduction of satellite navigation systems and DVD players to our cars as standard.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Henry Pollick
parking sensor
This easy-to-install parking sensor system uses super-wide angle detection
to prevent impacts to the rear and sides. It has 3 beep frequencies for
objects between 1.5 and 0.3 meters, and automatic detection in reverse
gear. Its 2, black-painted sensors are waterproof and function in even the
most severe weather conditions.
Jack Harry
parking sensor
That's why it's not at the point where it's practical yet. In fact, the point you made makes me lean towards trend data as being the real solution more and more.
Probably when the mainstream public actually stops to think about it, which won't be for a long time.
Trend data could be very useful. For the rest you'd need mobile access to get real time data. One thought, if this data tells you that there are say 5 spaces currently available, would it also be able to tell you that there are currently seven cars waiting in the entrance queue because one or two up front are being a bit slow ?
Taken to an extreme it seems that Google will be able to track, pinpoint and see every one of us, no matter where we go. At what point does this become objectionable?
That does sound like a cool idea. I used to live in Santa Monica and I can vouch for the traffic/parking situation there. I did notice, though, that the method the city used for keeping track of parking spots wasn't always accurate. I wonder if this will be an issue. Thanks for the post.
