If you have been seriously considering having your mobile phone surgically stitched into your brain stem but just haven’t found the time, I have the accessory for you. It’s sleek, it’s Bluetooth and it will tell you when a phone call or SMS is coming in without forcing you to look like you’ve just been assimilated by The Collective.
The Sony Ericsson MBW-150 vibrates to tell you when you receive a phone call or text message. On top of that, it displays an alert on a built in OLED screen. For all seven of you who are streaming music on your Ericsson mobile, it will allow you to pause/play and skip tracks at will.
If you don’t happen to have an Ericsson phone, this watch is completely useless (other than the fact that it keeps good time) but it is a great case study in how user interfaces are being developed to merge design and technology. It might not be long before we can remotely for our entire multimedia world right from our wrists.
