I agree 100%. I am kind of a control freak too, and not knowing what is in store and if I'll be able to control what happens is pretty scary. But you are right that we just have to suck it up and do our best and hope that it will work out. Besides, only after you get started can you really start to get control of what happens.

Great point about fear of beginnings. I think my anxiety over beginnings begins with the ending the preceded it, especially at work. Nothing is truly ever done, one project ends and another begins. Never come to a finite place of completion, where you can sit back and relax. “no amount of fretting is going to help”: this is good advice, i shud just get over it.
