Just about a year ago, I was tagged for the “8 Things” meme. The idea is that a blogger tags you and then you are forced to regale the world with 8 interesting facts about yourself.
I reluctantly obliged back then and thought it was over with. A few days ago, however, my friend Mark Dykeman did me the “favor” of tagging me again.
Instead of writing up yet another list of semi-interesting facts about myself, I decided to take this time to introduce you to a few new people. As my long overdue community blogging project, I polled Twitter and asked 8 people to give me an interesting tidbits about themselves. This is what I got back.
Twitter Blogoscoped
miketrap – I have no cavities.
yellowbag – I carry a recessive gene that causes cystic fibrosis
ennn – I once woke up covered in cat poo. Shit (literally) happens when you sleep with your cats. And I still adore them.
allquirknoplay – When I was 6, I opened the emergency door on the school bus and tumbled out onto the road while the driver drove on, unaware.
DrBaher – I’ve spent 9 years of my life as
a hardcore gamer.
antoniocapo – I rafted whitewater rivers for years where adrenaline rush and the risk was huge. That gave me a great perspective in business risk.
amsie – I am an aspiring baker dreaming of becoming a pop star!
uniquefrequency – I once entered a voice personality contest and had to wear a flower on my head, thus living with the nickname “flower power boy.”
ridz84 – When I’m in an empty elevator, I become a performer – singing and sometimes even dancing. And I wonder if everyone else does it.
Terra111 – I REALLY am deathly afraid of spiders. I am paralyzed with fear every time I see one!
It’s more than 8, I know, but it’s also substantially more interesting than any personal “8 things” could be. With that in mind, I offer you this challenge. Why not take some time to explore your own online communities? Find eight interesting facts and send me a link/trackback. I’ll post the most interesting responses here.
