SEO

There is a time and a place for SEO in any web enterprise.

Unless you have a clear idea of what you need, chances are that this isn’t the time or the place for your business.

Anyone who says they can get you listed first for generic keywords is lying.

That doesn’t mean they won’t charge you out the ear for a very convincing song and dance.

META Tags, Keyword Stuffing, and all that stuff you learned in 1996 doesn’t work anymore.

SEO Tips

On the other hand, links are still king.

Since building links is so important, good SEO is intrinsically linked to good PR.

Most bad SEOs will leave this point out.

Those spam directories that your SEO charged you $1,000 to submit your site to aren’t getting you ranked higher in Google in the long term.

They might just got your domain banned though.

SEO is a slow, deliberate process and can take months to run a campaign.

There are plenty of people who will swear they can do the entire thing over a weekend.

There are also plenty of people who will swear that swamp land in Florida is a good investment.

SEO is an addendum not a replacement for other forms of digital marketing.
