I love this quote “Like raising children, a business requires a heroic effort in order to do it right. Note I didn’t say “a great deal” of effort, I said a heroic effort.” All of this, I just think that business need a passion. But I'm wrong because it is need our 110% commitment and struggle to make sure we are not one of the 3 that failed!. I believe, without combination between passion and heroic effort as you said, the business is never succeed. Thanks for this great article. You gimme spirits and inspiration!

I think the most common reason for businesses not lasting to long is the fact that people don't think about the hard work ahead when they are getting into it. They just think its easy and fun to own their own business, but when they do get into it they realize it takes hard work and dedication. Which most of them will give up right there. Thanks.

Great article, very well written. I have to second your point about passion; you definitely have to have passion to help keep you and your employees motivated, however, this will not translate into the success of your business. In order for this to happen you must have some substance to add to your style and passion. Making sure that you have a good business model, competent employees and a good client base will definitely help you succeed.
