D.I.Y performance art.

Yup, it’s a combination of art, technology and showmenship and, to tell the truth, it’s really stunning to watch especially if you’re into people strapping on weird homebrew electronics and dancing around in them.

It’s incredible to see what a little ingenuity and some clever packaging can do, and it’s even more fun to hear about it from the performer — Andrew Schneider — who is just so gosh darn excited about the entire thing.

The biggest take-away for me is that simple technology can do a lot if you throw the weight of creativity behind it — Arthur C. Clark wrote once that a sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguisble from magic, that’s true but I’d say the same could be said about a sufficiently well applied technology.
