A few show notes.
Despite the fact that this is the most hilarious glimpses into the future since Braniff Air, they managed to get quite a few things spot on.
In 1969 they fairly accurately predicted email, e-commerce portals like Amazon and online banking. They also threw in the modern fax machine, a few years before it hit center stage.
We would all do well to pay attention to clips like this. Every product that was foreshadowed in this video has been wildly successful. The reason? They all serve a practical purpose that is useful to a large number of people. In the race to fit more complex applications into our web browsers, raw practicality might be being put to the wayside.
Maybe a glimpse into the past will bring us closer to the future of innovation.
