Hot off of the grape-vine. It looks like AT&T has decided that paying $8 in postage to send out iPhone bills which are often the size of small novels may not be in its best interest. From now on, they will be sending summarized lists with the most pertinent information. No longer will you be presented with every single 1K data transfer and text-message transcribed in excruciating detail. Unless, of course, you want that.

The Bill

In that case, just call 611 and you can pay $1.99 a month to have that beast of a bill delivered to your doorstep. Besides the obvious shipping savings from delivering a smaller bill, this also encourages people to switch to e-delivery. Electronic delivery is always less cost intensive and often more convenient for customers. All in all this is a big win for AT&T, and while there is plenty that you can say about how unresponsive they are to customer needs in this case when the people spoke — AT&T listened.
