If you ever wanted to know Google’s ultimate goal, listen to Eric Schmidt tell you the tale. Today in the Financial Times the CEO of Google tells Caroline Daniels and Maija Palmer how Google plans to organize every aspect of your life.
Asked how Google might look in five years’ time, Mr Schmidt said: “We are very early in the total information we have within Google. The algorithms will get better and we will get better at personalisation.
“The goal is to enable Google users to be able to ask the question such as ‘What shall I do tomorrow?’ and ‘What job shall I take?’ â€
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, the beginning of Web 3.0 will be when companies like Google figure out that the only way to generate truly accurate results are one person at a time. This sentiment is a step in the right direction that will ultimately lead to a truly semantic web.
