This is a great tip from the folks at Screencastr. Find out which of your processes are connecting to the Internet. It’s a great way to see if your computer is being used as a zombie without your knowledge.

Here are the show notes.

• Open up a console.
• Type “netstat -b 5 > activity.txt”
• Wait about two minutes.
• Press Control C
• Type “activity.txt” into the command line.
• Review the log and if you find something suspicious it’s time to figure out how to squash it.
