SuSe 10.1 may be the first new desktop environment I’ve seen that employs a truly innovative approach to the the tired, old user interface. While a lot of this XGL magic amounts to little more than glitz, it is a step forward in design methodology. It is about time that the average non-gamer could take advantage of some of the graphics power sitting inside their computers.
