The D-List is a list of blogs that have removed the No Follow tag from their comments field. I have recently joined the ranks of the D-List.

What This Means To You

If you leave a comment on my site, it used to be that the only thing that you received was a metaphorical pat on the back and maybe a few additional words of wisdom from me. Now, if you leave a comment on this blog it will be as if I have given you a backlink. Backlinks are the currency that helps build Page Rank, pushing you higher up into Google’s search results and helping to secure your online empire.

It’s my little way of rewarding people who visit this site and actually contribute to the discussion of topics. The same reason I now use the Top Commenter plugin.

A Caveat

Since I have turned this handy feature on I have become a stickler for removing spam comments. Sometimes I’ll keep the comment and just remove the link. Either way, here are some example comments that will be moderated.

“LOL! Great post on that thing, keep it up!”

Far too general, what are you talking about and what was great about the post?

“I love your blog!”

That’s great, please reserve these general comments for the contact form. Now, if it is couched in terms of the article that is fine.

“afjdfldfjklfsf [link] Mesothelioma help [/link]”

Give me a break people. Do your SEO elsewhere.

Things that I will never moderate.

  • Criticism of the blog.
  • Criticism of me.
  • Almost anything else that doesn’t look blatantly like spam.

Some Link Love

Here is a list of a few sites that I’ve found interesting that also have Do Follow removed. Give them a visit and tell them I sent you. For the full list, visit Court’s site.
