At 5AM an article about concentration seems apropos. Robert Scoble, the famous former Microsoft Blogger turned Vice President of Media Development for PodTech, was discussing that most times the most productive conversations that we have take place in small groups.

We all have limited bandwidth to spare, and once you add more than four people or so to the mix, the pipes clog pretty quickly.

Here is a little hack to go along with that theme. Next time you are trying to make an impression, start with the individual. If you have a great idea, you may not want to “shout it from the rooftop,” but instead sit down and chat with a few people who might actually be paying attention. Limiting the scope of your pitch to small groups might seem counter-intuitive, but a personal touch is almost always more memorable than a long winded monologue.

Effectiveness through efficiency, it has a nice ring to it.
