Starting is almost always the hardest part of any endeveour. Let me tell you, my fine readers that if I have learned anything from the stack of projects that I have been involved in over the last few months it is that the desire to procrastinate may be the common denominator that binds humanity.

To that end, I dug up a bit of inspiration to start off the New Year. It comes to us from the 43 Folders (which you should be reading religiously, if you do not do so now).

Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way.

The point is that it is easy to plan, easier still to put off for the right moment, but if you are ever going to get anything done you need to buckle down and make the decision to do something. Easy enough right?
