Ever wondered what happened to “The Future” we have been waiting for since the millennial change over? My silver jump suit might still at the dry cleaner, but thanks to Pantech we are getting a taste of where we’re heading. The Korean phone manufacturer has put together what might be the first cell phone that uses your bones to conduct sound.

Instead of a speaker, this phone vibrates. If you hold it to your face, these vibrations are transferred through the skin to the inner ear where they are picked up as sound. Why would you want a phone that shakes, rattles and rolls? Well, it makes it a lot easier to hear the latest gossip about the Jone’s when you are in a crowded room. Also, it’s pretty hard to listen in on someone else’s conversation when the sound is being pushed directly into his skull.

I am not sure whether this phone will make it to the states, so get your fill here. Maybe the next version will come with a subdermal implant.
