I just wanted to point you in the direction of a new Blog to be added to the How To Split An Atom family, Tech Spoofs. Consider Tech Spoofs that weird older cousin that always ends up dancing on the bar at all your family reunions with the lamp shade on his head. It’s where we get to take a lighter look at Web 2.0 than this blog usually allows.

Here is a sample to whet your appetite,

Rapture

Sources from deep within the Googleplex say that the introduction of their “news comments” service is only the first step of many in what analysts are calling the “Latter Days BETA”. Up until this point, Google — in conjunction with the Vatican, high ranking members of the Illumanati, and the Mountain View Linux Group have managed to keep this project under wraps.

In what has to be the most startling revelation since the Watergate scandal, project details have been leaked to Tech Spoofs.

Future projects include,

  • Redistributing the world’s wealth
  • Gaining control of the American Political process through information haphazardly posted in Google Docs.
  • Indexing the world’s roads for aid in future troop deployments.

When asked how this fits in with Google’s, “Do No Evil” stance, a representative from the ‘plex proceeded to cackle uncontrollable at our reporters, at one point falling on the floor in what can only be described as “extreme amusement”. We were unable to get further comment.
