I wanted to introduce you to something new you will be seeing from time to time on How To Split An Atom.

Advertising as it stands is broken. More dollars are being spent for less user engagement. Lets face it, people are just bored of seeing the same silly flash games.

Adviewr is a program I threw together to try to address this problem. It is an addendum to the direct sponsorship program that I have been meaning to implement for months. The companies that participate in Adviewr generate a “print style” ad that is up to 740px wide and any height. Then, along with a standard 125 x 125 button they get this unique, high-quality ad displayed in a post. Before you ask, I’m not going to say much of anything about my sponsors except for what they do. The point is that the ads should speak for themselves without my help.

There have been a few companies that have put together some great stuff. Take Wild Apricot, for example. They are a company that deals in group membership and database management software,

The upside is that the sponsors get to show off their design skills, I get to retain editorial control over what type of ads are displayed, and all of you get to see a “never before seen” and really interesting piece of advertising copy.

I have two slots left (the dead slot you see right now is going to charity for free) and I am offering the first month of advertising free to innovative companies that are willing to participate in the program. I am also offering a discount for the second month if you pick it up along with your freebie. Drop me a line if you are interested.
